Tonight, inspired by a friend's creation, I've got a couple of ham hocks in there, with some onion, celery, peas, carrot and stock. It is bubbling away beautifully!
With a bit of luck, we'll all wake up to the beautiful smells of hearty "Breakfast Soup" and we'll see if we can tempt some curious little people at the breakfast bench.
Why not fire up the slow cooker at night, with your favourite slow cooked recipes? Chicken, lamb or beef are easy to pop in and leave, but favourite slow cooked recipes such as stews, curries and soups are a great way to start your day with a nutrient dense, filling meal that provides energy and will satiate all morning. Instant breakfast without having to make a mess!!
You might even get lunch out of it provided you don't get too carried away!
